I hope they open up Japanese IPs sometime in the future to outsiders. There are a ton of franchises that they haven't touched in years that could use some love.
Same here. Steam is my main means of communication with my friends. Some people live on Facebook, I live on Steam.
I am thankful for my family and that I have yet to blow all my money this Thanksgiving. I'm also thankful that I found this site back during the advent of the seventh generation. This place has been entertaining over the years.

Agreed. A TV is simply a output device for either my consoles or computer. I haven't watched live TV in probably 10 years. Heck, the provided cable line at my apartment isn't even hooked up. =P
While your on a roll Sony, I would love to have some mkv support. I am tired of having my computer act as a middle man transcoding files for the PS3.
*Crosses fingers for a Steam release*
Dino Haze? =)
Straight from your linked article:
"Video output in Full HD 1080p requires 1080p native display"
That does not mean the PS4 renders at 1080p. It simply means that in order to output a the game at 1080p (possibly upscaled from 900p) you have to actually own a 1080p display. Nowhere does it say that the game renders at 1080p or is upscaled to 1080p. That key piece of information was left ambiguous.
I am going to miss the analog face buttons. That was one of the coolest things about the PS3 controllers.
Exclusives are always better on the console for obvious reasons (that is true, until an emulator is developed), but I always buy multiplatform games if I can on the PC. This isn't simply a statement of graphical superiority. The PC provides a sense of permanence that consoles don't provide. Can you play your PS2 disc of Dark Cloud on the PS4? Can you play your copy of Jade Empire on the Xbox One? I can still play the original Myst or Half-Life on my circa 2012 PC.

I have always used PlayStation controllers like I have used mice. Rather than having my hand conform to the contours of the controller, I lightly let it rest in my fingers. Similarly I don't lay my hand on a mouse -- I move and click it with the tip of my fingers. In the parlance of gaming I use the fingertip grip instead of the palm grip for mice.
This happens to be different for other controllers on consoles like the Xbox 360 and Gamecube. They appear to designed suc...
I feel the opposite. I want the cases to get as smaller or stay the same size. I hope that this is for the display boxes only rather than the actual box shape. If anything DVD sized cases are bizarre now given that Blu-ray has been around for many years.
Wow, you really notice that he his aging (50) when he is captured outside of a movie. Either that or he is actually trying to look gaunt for a role.
@itBourne
Actually the keyboard layout is asymmetric in the placement of the keys. The top row is offset by a quarter from the home row. This results in your fingers reaching always slightly to the left for keys. Stupid typewriters. *grumble*
I really don't understand how this, like many patents, are valid. This is obvious if you know anything about optics. This is essentially a statement of chromatic aberration. Either make a better lens or tailor an image that focuses for an imperfect lens. This patent is for the latter.
Same here. That's blessing and curse of rpgs in general. I always intersperse my RPGs with couple quick FPS or action games to prevent my backlog from growing too much. Needless to say, it's a good problem to have.
I can see Sony being open to it, but the real challenge is convincing Microsoft to open up their platform. Historically they have been very against it. F2P games will likely be catalysts that cause this transition given that they depend on a healthy community to be successful.
I prefer the PS2 and PS4 over the PS3. I have never particularly liked the convex design of the PS3. I prefer my electronics in general to be very angular, so that they draw your attention. Hence, I was very pleased with the PS4 back when they revealed it in February.
He may not necessarily be on Ultra settings for every game, but everything is typically on high. Regardless, my point is that you can exceed PS3 and Xbox 360 graphics considerably with very average graphics cards nowadays. Sure he might have to turn stuff down to 1080p in the future, but it will easily exceed PS4 and Xbox One graphics.
@pyramidshead
The fact that you always have preface every command with Xbox turns me off also. I have the same complaint for Google Glass. I want the device to be smart, but I don't think we have really reached that point yet.
Voice control for simple commands always comes across as frivolous, however, once we can dictate complex commands to our equipment as if they were a person I can see it taking over my life. For a slightly related example I find d...
